Aida Mercedes Rivera Rodriguez

Aida Mercedes Rivera Rodriguez, of Ceiba, Puerto Rico passed away suddenly on April 8, 2024 in Vineland, NJ.

Aida was born and raised in Ceiba, Puerto Rico, and came to N.J. to be with her family.  She loved dancing and singing, especially to her favorite Spanish singers, Rafael and Yolanda Monga.  She enjoyed bicycle rides, playing Cowboy with her brother Papo, who she always shared a special bond with.  She would sometimes wait until Papo left the house to go out, and she would quickly go downstairs to sneak some of his wine and beer, without getting caught.  She truly loved spending time with her nieces and nephews, and couldn't say no for a chance to babysit them or treat them at the candy store.

Aida was joyful, full of life, and always had a smile on her face.  She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Loving daughter of the late Luis Rivera Matta and Antonia Rodriguez Colon; loving sister of Jose Rivera Josefina Rivera, Ramonita Rivera and the late Luis Rivera (Papo). Best aunt to Maria Rivera Juan Luis Quinonez Rivera, Ivelisse Rivera, Yorley Garcia Rivera, Luis Manuel Rivera Rios, Evelyn Rivera, Jose Rivera, Gerardo Vazquez Garcia, Valerie Vazquez Garcia, Daniel Vazquez Garcia and the late Francisco Quinonez Rivera.

Aida will be taken back home to where she spent most of her life, for a celebration of life with family and friends.
