Gary Reed Obituary
Gary W. Reed, age 71, of Millville, died peacefully on April 26, 2023.
Beloved husband of Debra Reed (nee LaRock); loving father of Michelle Reed (Gregory Brago). Gary is also survived by his Golden Retriever and Hunting partner Dakota; his brother Kelly Reed; and many cousins, nieces, nephews, extended family & friends. Gary was predeceased by his parents John and Harriett Pritchett Reed; siblings John Reed, Scott Reed, Virginia Reed, Gloria Brennan, and Margaret Saba.
Gary was a combat veteran of the Vietnam War who served in the US Navy. After his service, Gary worked as a local and long-haul truck driver for many years before going on to work as a heavy equipment operator for South State in Bridgeton, until his retirement. Gary was an avid hunter and fisherman. He will forever be remembered for being a dependable, friendly, likeable, and selfless person who was always willing to help someone out.
A celebration of Gary’s life will be held at a later date (and will be posted on this page when the date is set)
