John W. Chopek, Jr.

John W. Chopek, Jr., age 81, of Millville, died peacefully on April 3, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Patricia (nee Cassady); his children John J. Chopek, daughter Terri Dougherty (Joe); grandchildren, Lewis I Chopek, Jr. & Cassady R Ayres; sister Cora Smith (Steve) and many extended family members and close friends. He was predeceased by his parents John W Chopek, Sr. and Edna Chopek (nee Tozer); his brothers, George Chopek, Sr. & Stephen J. Chopek, III; son, Lewis I. Chopek, Sr. & mother-in-law Bertha M. Cassady.

For 35 years he was a mold maker at Wheaton Glass and for 22 years he served as president of American Flint Glass Workers Union Local #7. He was also a member of Millville Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie #1836, a volunteer firefighter, and loved traveling to Florida.
