June E. DeFrates, 87 of Brigantine, NJ died on Monday at the Seashore Gardens Living Center in Galloway, NJ after an extended illness. Born in Atlantic City, she has been a South Jersey resident all of her life.
Prior to retirement Mrs. DeFrates worked as a secretary/receptionist for various real estate offices in the area. She enjoyed cooking, baking and crocheting. Mrs. Defrates loved her family and enjoyed raising her grandchildren.
She is survived by: grandchildren, Thomas Boody, Tiffany Dixon, and Max Bletterman; several great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; sister, Virginia D'Azcenzio.
A Memorial service will be held on Friday at the Cumberland County Community Church of Millville at 11am. Relatives and friends will be received at the church on Friday from 10:30-11am.
