Lauriano Gonzalez Obituary

Obituary for Lauriano “Jose” Gonzalez

Lauriano Gonzalez, 73, of Millville, New Jersey, passed away peacefully on February 10, 2024, with his family by his side.

Lauriano was born on June 2, 1950, in San Sebastian, Puerto Rico. Shortly after his birth, he and his family moved from Puerto Rico to Brooklyn, New York, where Lauriano grew up. He eventually settled in New Jersey, making Millville his home.

Lauriano was a very passionate and intelligent person. From a young age, he had a love for music that surpassed that of most people. As a young adult, he pursued a career as a DJ, using the power of music to bring life to any party or event. His passion for music also led him to an interest in dancing. He often shared stories about his days on the dance floor, expressing himself through the harmony of music and motion. This discipline required balance and attention, qualities that spilled over into Lauriano's personal life. He tended to avoid extremes, striving instead to find a middle ground, and his attentiveness made him a careful and considerate individual.

Lauriano was also an avid explorer of technology and had professional training as an electronics technician. His love for technology and electronics was fueled by his insatiable curiosity. He sought to fully understand the details of every device or machine he encountered. While technology and music were two of Lauriano's greatest passions, they only scratched the surface of who he was. To know Lauriano was a pleasure, an honor, and an indescribable experience. He never liked to say goodbye, so instead, from everyone who loved him, to Lauriano “Jose” Gonzalez: we'll see you later.

Loving father of Jose Gonzalez, Janet Santiago, Joshua Gonzalez, Alexander Hunter, and Matthew Hunter.

Brother of Martha Perez, Anna Gonzalez, Willie Gonzalez, Maria Gonzalez, Carmen Colon, Elsa Allende, Rosie Gonzalez, and Maggie Gordillo.

Grandfather of Jesus Santiago Jr., Alexis Santiago, and Dominic Santiago, Alyssa Bianca Gonzalez, Aubrey Tempest Gonzalez.  Great grandfather of Peyton Hatton and Jeremiah LittleJohn.
