Margaret Fauerbach Obituary

Margaret Carolyn Fauerbach, of Millville, NJ passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 28, 2024.  She was 102 years old.

Family

Loving wife of the late Rudolph R. Fauerbach. Beloved mother of Donald Lee Fauerbach and his wife Toni and the late Rudolph "Rudy" Fauerbach and his late wife Carol. Best grandmother to Kurt Fauerbach (Jocelyne), Michael Fauerbach (Liz), Caryn Fauerbach and the late Donald "Donnie" Fauerbach, Jr.  Great grandmother of Andrew, Elise, Benjamin, William and Sam. Dear sister to Elizabeth Shannon, Robert Miller and the late Harry Miller, Thomas Miller and Richard Miller.  Aunt Margaret leaves behind 22 loving nieces and nephews.

Margaret was a dedicated resident of Millville, and loved being part of the community.  She was a Charter Member of Citizens United  to Protect the Maurice River, the river she loved and lived on. She was devoted to all Millville youth sports and groups, especially the Babe Ruth League and Millville Little League where she would often be behind the refreshment stand lending a helping hand. As a staple in the community, she was active in the Thurderbolt Club in the 50's and 60's, and truly enjoyed hosting many Millville High School football "Friday Night Spaghetti Dinners" at her home.

She was the true matriarch of the family, and was a strong role model for everyone.  She lead by example and set examples for others to follow.  Margaret had a fun, competitive side to her and was an avid NASCAR enthusiast!  She loved going to all of the races and cheering on her favorite driver "Mark Martin".  She truly loved the sport of racing, and with her late husband Whitey, she was the biggest cheerleader for her son Donald's race teams.  Margaret and Whitey were highly active Charter Members of the NJ Motorsports Park Green Flag Committee, and were the most dedicated members to the goal of developing and opening the park in 2008.  She would always be seen managing the scarves, hats and gloves tables at the annual GFC Coats for Kids Christmas holiday event at the race track Officer's Club.

She was a very active Beta Sigma Phi Sorority sister for decades and worked the annual ball as a committee leader enjoying her many Millville sorority sisters.  Margaret was the mom who would hitch the family boat to the truck, and meet everyone to go water skiing, and would do this all on her own.  She truly has left a strong legacy for all who knew and certainly loved her.
