Regina A. (Jean) Rittler, 88 of Millville, died on Friday after a brief illness at the Millville Center.
Jean was born in Millville, and at age 19 moved to Philadelphia, PA, and met her late husband Jack. She then worked as a printer, for Crown Cork and Seal Company in Philadelphia for over 35 years. In 1982 she retired and returned to live in Millville.
Jean was a member of the American Legion Nabb-Leslie Post #82 Ladies Auxiliary, and during the World War II years, she was a volunteer with the USO in Atlantic City, NJ. She played the piano, by ear, and loved to entertain. Jean was an animal lover, and she enjoyed traveling. Dining out with her family and friends was always enjoyable. Jean also attended the Mt. Pleasant Methodist Church.
She is survived by: daughter, Cynthia Hagerty; sister, Marcella Camp; 2 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews; Jean was predeceased by: husband, John "Jack" Rittler; sister, Gladys Good; and brother in law, William "Bill" Camp.
Services will be held on Monday at 11am in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.
