Ricky Brown Obituary
Ricky Allen Brown, 52, of Millville, died at Inspira Medical Center, Vineland, after an extended illness.
Ricky was born in Frederick, Maryland. He had served 7 years in the US Air Force as a First Sergeant. Ricky was a Lieutenant, serving as a Correction Officer for Fairton Federal Correctional Facility.
He was a member of the N.R.A. and Fraternal Order of Police. He enjoyed Civil War reenactments, coin collecting and bird watching. His latest project was completing a model train layout. His passion was his family and spending quality time with them.
Ricky is survived by 2 daughters: Ashley Brown and Amy Brown (fiancé, Bobby) all of Millville; parents: Francis and Evelyn Brown, Jr, of Colorado Springs; mother in law: Pearl Olafson of N. Dakota; 2 uncles: David Brown (Doris) of MD and Allen Brown of Florida; aunt: Marga Brown of MD and his special K-9 buddy, Maddie. Ricky was predeceased by his wife Carol and grandparents: Francis and Glenrose Brown.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 at 11 AM in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home. Viewings will be held on Monday evening from 6-8- PM and Tuesday morning from 10-11 AM in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Ricky's name may be made to the SJ HealthCare, c/o Scarpa Cancer Foundation, 2950 College Drive, Suite 1 F, Vineland, NJ 08360 or the Cumberland County SPCA, 1244 N.
