Susan Walker Jozefyk, age 81, of Millville, NJ, & Palm Harbor, FL, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in her home.

She was born in Swedesboro, NJ to the late Doris White Walker and George Ellis Walker. Shortly thereafter, the family moved to Millville, New Jersey. Susan met the love of her life, William L. Jozefyk after her cousin set them up to go to their 8th grade prom together. They both graduated from Millville Senior High School in 1960. Music was a gift to Susan and she used it throughout her high school years and her entire life. The cello was always in tow on her way to orchestra practice and performances. Susan was a member in the marching band, so that she was able to go to every football game to see William play. Shortly after graduating high school Susan and William were married.

Susan worked as a nurse for 27 years until her retirement. Her kindness and compassion helped many people over the years.
Susan enjoyed singing and was a member of the Holly Bells, several Sweet Adeline choruses, Cumberland County Chapter, Diamond State Chorus and Toast of Tampa Show Chorus that she performed on shows and in competition and also sang in quartets. Her longest and most well known quartet named Cross County Celebration, was known for their comedy packages at competitions and performed on many shows. Susan was a 50 year life time member of Sweet Adelines International.
Over the years the family attended horse shows, baseball games and camping. After retirement, Susan and William enjoyed traveling and later moved to Palm Harbor, Florida. They celebrated 59 years together before William’s passing on November 19, 2019. Due to Susan’s failing health, she moved back to NJ to live with her daughter, Laurie Jozefyk who has been her caregiver until her passing.

Susan was a member of the Trinity and First Assembly of God church in Millville, were she sang in the choir and playing cello over her adult life span. She was well know at church for singing in a trio named the Joy Singers.

Susan was a loving wife, mother, sister and daughter and was predeceased by her parents, brother Laurence E. Walker, son John C. Jozefyk and great grandson Cade J. Miller.
