William M Hanby

William M. "Bill" Hanby, 80 of Millville, died at home on Friday after a courageous battle with cancer. Bill was born and raised in Port Norris, and had lived in Millville for over 60 years.

Prior to retirement, he worked at Durand Glass, as a mold quality control foreman for over 15 years. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed spending time fishing. Bill also enjoyed animals and he especially loved his cats; Tony, Dora, and Punkin.

He is survived by: wife, Barbara at home; sister, Betty Couch of Port Norris; nephew, George Camburn; niece, Brenda Berry; in-laws, Darlene and Dan Shone, Carmen and Gus Zimmerman, David Zimmerman, Gary Zimmerman, Mark and Angie Zimmerman, Frank and Dorothy Young, Don and Etta Merroli, Dolores Suydam, Barbara and Ralph Thomas, and Ted, Jacki and Ashlee Zimmerman.

Services will be held on Tuesday at 11am in the Rocap Shannon Memorial Funeral Home of Millville. Burial will be private.
