Richard Swaim Obituary
Richard A. Swaim, 50, of Millville, passed away peacefully on May 18, 2020 at the Inspira Medical Center, Vineland. Rich was born in Vineland, and in addition to Millville had lived Florida and Baltimore for a while. He graduated from Millville Senior High and received his AA from Cumberland County College.
Rich was a highly decorated Army veteran, serving as a SGT in Iraq (in a designated imminent danger area - Operation Iraqi Freedom). Some of his medals were: Army Commendation & Achievement Medal, Superior Unit Award, South West Asia Service Medal, with Bronze service star, National Defense Medal and Global War on Terrorism Service Medal/Iraq.
Rich also attended culinary school and had worked in various restaurants in New Jersey and Florida. He enjoyed cooking, fishing, woodworking and spending time his K-9 buddies.
Rich is survived by his wife: Lori, nee Gordon; son: Kyle Markert; mother: Jill Swaim; father: Richard Swaim (Debra); aunt: Joy Canning; great aunt: Margaret Karageanes.
